Hike on the hills of Annecy - Half day

The top of Semnoz mountain is a paradise for walkers, with numerous trails criss-crossing the grassy summit plateau and offering splendid vistas of the surrounding mountains and Mont Blanc, Bruno, in the distance. Lake Annecy sits in the valley below and beckons for a refreshing dip after the satisfying demands of a mountain walk!

On this walk in the heart of the Alps, you will see an abundance of alpine flowers and have the opportunity to visit an alpage, where cheese and other dairy produce is made from the milk of the animals grazing the surrounding pastures. It is the very herbs and flowers we can see on the walk which help give the cheese it’s defining character and flavour. There is also the opportunity to stop for refreshments at a well situated alpine refuge.

The route can be adjusted by your Experience Mont Blanc guide to suit your needs, making it as gentle or as challenging as required! The terrain is generally quite forgiving however, without too much height gain on the walk. There is as a scenic forest road which allows access to a start point near the summit plateau itself.
