What awaits you
We will pick you up at your hotel to start out on a day of discovery of the mystic and enchanting Chartreuse Natural Park.

Col du Granier will be our first stop, after a short stroll we’ll reach a panoramic viewpoint of the Belledonne mountain range and its summits.

We will then descend to the heart of the massif of Chartreuse to discover a cooperative dairy farm, the process of cheese making and even get a chance to taste the local production, wonderful cheeses of Chartreuse.

Saint Pierre de Chartreuse will be our next stop, you’ll visit the Correrie Museum, where you will learn a little bit more about the daily life of the Monks of Chartreux.

Time to eat, picnic lunch of local specialties accompanied with wines from the vineyards located in the Chartreuse National Park.

Up next, after a short hike we’ll reach the Monastery of the Grande Chartreuse. Your guide will teach you all about the secrets of the Chartreux Monks. They have lived in solitude and absolute silence for centuries. The Monastery is a magical and mystical place. During the hike, look round, you might be able to see certain monks out on a stroll. You might even be able to see and meet Brother Jean Jacques, one of the two monks that knows the formula for the famous liqueur.

On the way back, we’ll finish off the day in some Chartreuse vineyards. You will enjoy a tasting in the middle of the vines!

Bernard will undoubtedly be able to wake up your different senses thanks to his knowledge and expertise of the terroir Savoyard. Bernard is a walking encyclopedia in diverse fields.
